François-Xavier Bagnoud Observatory
The Francois-Xavier Bagnoud Observatory, is situated above the village of St-Luc at an altitude of 2200 meters. It is located on a site renowned for its pure air and peaceful atmosphere. The arrival of S-Luc - Tignousa funicular makes it easily accessible. With its many instruments : a 60 cm-diameter telescope equipped with CCD camera, a 15 cm-diameter telescope, a coelos-tat, an H-alpha filter. It's used during the day (observation of the sun) as well as at night (evening astronomical). The main building hosts a fully equipped audio-visual auditorium (thirty seats), including a three dimensional projection.
