Restored in 1986, the watermills have lost nothing of their charm and function today under the expert supervision of Miller Bernard Salamin. He is an enthusiastic miller and will guide you through this historical eighteenth century site. It allows you to discover, through water, the corn mill, the fulling cloth, the mill with rye, wheat mill, the press nuts and barley to Fuller. Official opening from July to September but visits are still possible out of season and must be booked with Miller Bernard Salamin.
You will find two types of horizontal watermills (the round millstone is moved along by a horizontal hydraulic wheel) in the villages of Fang and Chandolin. The latter was renovated in 2000. Both there watermills are fed by the Fang torrent.
