The Illgraben is a gignatic stone amphitheatre which results from the collapse of the mountain due to erosion. This massive yellow and reddish crevasse expands every year. The trees fall down, the side walls draw apart. It is the most important site of flowing lava in Switzerland and unique in Europe.

This 9 km long path will guide you from Pinsec to Vercorin through the forest of Crouja and the abandoned village of Voualans. Built around the 14th century, the Bisse of Saracens will provide in some places some strong feelings and offer splendid views of the Valley of Anniviers.
